SIVAL de Bronze : TERRATECK presents the ULLMANNA intelligent inter-plant weeder

Description

Intelligent hoeing is now available with the ULLMANA weeder, and has been in France since the beginning of 2024 through the commercial representation of the company
TERRATECK.
It works thanks to a combination of cutting-edge technologies that enable remarkably precise in-row weeding of a multitude of spaces between plants and crops.
It is based on an intelligence system capable of storing and analyzing an infinite number of images taken in the field in real time during use.

General operation :

– Guidage automatique par caméra : La bineuse ULLMANA est équipée de caméras hautes résolutions, qui filment en temps réel les rangs de culture. Ces caméras sont reliées à un système informatique embarqué qui analyse les images en temps réel, permettant à ...

- Automatic camera guidance: The ULLMANA weeder is equipped with high-resolution cameras, which film the crop rows in real time. These cameras are linked to an on-board computer system which analyzes the images in real time, enabling the machine to distinguish weeds from cultivated plants, even when the latter are very close. The weeder's software uses computer vision algorithms (deep learning) to recognize the characteristics of specific crops and differentiate between weeds.
Cameras are also used to control forward speed and hoeing blade working depth, as well as the lateral movement of the machine to ensure row tracking.

- Control of hoeing blades: Once the computer system has identified the plants to be protected, the hoeing blades are precisely activated by pneumatic cylinders to cut weeds without damaging the cultivated plants. These teeth work the soil in a highly localized manner, avoiding the plant roots.

- Efficiency and speed: the machine can operate at high speeds of up to 10 km/h, depending on the distance between plants, thanks to cutting-edge technology and mechanical components. This means you can weed up to 30 to 40 hectares per day, depending on crop type and soil conditions.

- Ease of use: the machine is easy to connect to a tractor, thanks to a standard three-point linkage. What's more, it doesn't require a permanent internet connection or GPS guidance, making it usable in a variety of conditions without depending on certain technologies.

Technical advantages :

- Versatility: Adaptable to a wide range of row crops, including beet, corn, cabbage, lettuce, squash and many others!

- Adaptability: Thanks to the data accumulated by the vision system, the machine is constantly improving and can learn to manage new crops.

In short, the ULLMANA weeder offers an efficient, ecological and cost-effective solution for mechanical weeding, particularly suited to farms aiming to reduce their environmental footprint while optimizing production.
