SIVAL de Bronze: Interloire & MSA present videos for non-French-speaking beginners on the essentials of virtuous vine pruning

This series of 4 instructional videos presents the fundamentals of virtuous pruning that respects sap flow to non-expert, non-French-speaking workers. The videos are available with subtitles in 6 languages: French, Spanish, English, Bulgarian, Romanian and Arabic.
The originality of this training medium lies first and foremost in its target audience: beginners and foreign pruners, a target group that is rarely targeted by other pruning media. Then there's its form: the capsules are animated cartoons, making the content accessible and easy to understand. They are short (1min30), multilingual and broadcast on Youtube.
The aim is to meet the demand from winegrowers and service providers for a tool to transfer good non-mutilating pruning practices to help them train and support foreign seasonal workers. Indeed, wineries are finding it hard to recruit pruning staff and are increasingly having to work with untrained, non-French-speaking personnel.
These vignettes will be relayed by employers' associations and other players involved in the recruitment of seasonal winegrowers, who are rarely involved in the dissemination of technical information.
When they are broadcast on YouTube, they will be combined with 3 other clips produced by the MSA dealing with comfort at work and pruner safety.
