By: SIVAL
Published on: December 16, 2024
19 solutions win awards at the SIVAL Innovation 2025 Competition. Divided into the "Varietal innovation", "Machinery and automation", "Production equipment and supplies", "Digital tools and data processing", "Plant health - soils and growing media" and "Collective approaches" categories, these innovations enhance the sustainability, efficiency and quality of production.

Varietal innovation

The SIVAL Innovation 2025 Competition is focusing on two solutions.

A SIVAL d'Or was awarded to the M200 rootstock from DALIVAL / IFO (02 - Aisne). More vigorous than M9, this rootstock is tolerant to phytophtora, performs well against fire blight, performs well in replanting and is suitable forarboriculture.

A SIVAL d'Argent salutes the butternut ORIONIT F1 from VOLTZ MARAÎCHAGE (49 - Maine-et-Loire). This variety is resistant to Didymella bryoniae, a fungus present in the south of France, thus limiting the use of fungicides. It preserves yield, uniformity and quality, meeting the needs of market gardening.

Machinery and automation

Two SIVAL de Bronze awards recognize solutions designed to improve weed control.

NOVAXI (02 - Aisne) offers RootWave systemic electric weed control. This device eliminates weeds without chemicals, thanks to an electric generator connected to the PTO. It targets root cells while preserving the soil's biology, and is suitable forarboriculture, market gardening, viticulture, horticulture, cider and fruit growing. AMSP and cider growing.

The ULLMANNA intelligent inter-plant weeder from TERRATECK (62 - Pas-de-Calais) uses cutting-edge technology to weed in the row with high precision. It is designed for market gardeners and AMSP.

Production equipment and supplies

There are eight winners in this category.

Two SIVAL d'Or were awarded, Ypsilon® by GRADILIS PEPINIERES SAS (34 - Hérault) and Geysir® Diffuse by AGCULTURE by AGC (13 - Bouches-du-Rhône).

Ypsilon® creates two-axis trees, adapted to narrow orchards and anticipating the mechanization of arboriculture.

Geysir® Diffuse, a diffusing and insulating horticultural glass, reduces heat loss by up to 25% without affecting light transmission. AMSP.

A Silver SIVAL award for CONTACTLESS from INFACO SAS (81 - Tarn). This non-contact safety device, combining pruning shears and transmitter glove, creates a protective bubble to prevent accidents in arboriculture and viticulture.

Five Bronze SIVALs complete this category.

AVISTOP Détect' by PROXALYS Environnement (35 - Ille-et-Vilaine) combines high-definition camera and AI to detect birds and activate a bird barker.

SPRAYVENT from BIOLINE AGROSCIENCES FRANCE (26 - Drôme) improves Phytoseiulus spraying, guaranteeing fast, even application in arboriculture, market gardening, horticulture and AMSP.

SMART DIMMING from RED Horticulture (44 - Loire-Atlantique) directs energy towards the most efficient LED colors, improving photosynthesis in market gardening and horticulture.

BMT's GS-AUTO System (60 - Oise) controls the inflation of double-walled greenhouses by automatically adjusting pressure, limiting energy consumption in market gardening, horticulture and the environment. AMSP.

X100 from CORK SUPPLY (33 - Gironde) uses AI to individually inspect corks, eliminating outliers in terms of oxygen transfer. This innovation protects high-end wines and concerns the viticulture sector.

Digital tools and data processing

Two SIVAL d'Argent awards for decision-support tools.

SynApps from SAS SYNDEV (49 - Maine-et-Loire) uses an agronomic database enriched by AI to optimize the choice of biosolutions in arboriculture, market gardening, viticulture and other sectors. AMSP.

CARTOGRAPHER GreenAtlas from TCSD (82 - Tarn-et-Garonne) detects tree growth stages, from rosebud to small fruit, and provides a harvest forecast, useful in arboriculture and viticulture.

Plant health - soils and growing media

A SIVAL d'Or and a SIVAL d'Argent recognize biocontrol solutions.

Problad® from Certis Belchim (78 - Yvelines) acts against powdery mildew, botrytis, moniliosis and pyriculariosis. It can be applied to viticulture, market gardening andarboriculture.

LALFRESH S from LALLEMAND PLANT CARE (31 - Haute-Garonne) limits post-harvest Monilia in stone fruit, prolongs shelf life without residues and protects organoleptic quality, meeting the needs ofarboriculture.

Group initiatives

Three SIVAL de Bronze awards for collaborative projects.

SEMAE's ENIGMA GRAINE (75 - Paris) is a fun way to learn about the seed and seedling production business.

A series of videos (in 6 languages), produced by StudioNyx for Interloire - CNIV (37 - Indre-et-Loire), train non-French-speaking pruners in virtuous vine pruning, thus meeting the challenges of seasonal labor in winegrowing.

DEXiAF, co-constructed by INRAE (44 - Loire-Atlantique), GRAB and UniLasalle, evaluates the sustainability of agroforestry systems before planting. It provides an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses forarboriculture, market gardening, viticultureAMSP and cider production.

Thanks to the SIVAL Innovation Competition, SIVAL, a major event in the specialized plant sector, highlights solutions capable of transforming practices and meeting future production challenges. The award-winning innovations of 2025, whether in varietal resistance, biocontrol or digital tools, reflect a constant quest for progress.
